Winter Wonderland!

I wish I could enjoy the snow thru the eyes of a two your old again. Michael really enjoyed playing in the snow. He would have stayed out for hours , but grandma got cold! I can't take the cold like I used too! We made some awesome snowmen today!

wow life just seems to get away from me. I do well keeping up with stuff, then I seem to lose it. Life is busy as always and never a dull moment. Its hard to believe that its the holiday season again. I really need to keep up better. I should go thru the photos from the last few months and up-date what has been going on...Maybe I will...Later!

Can I Clean your ears?

Take two toddlers and an un-locked bathroom door, add a slow Grandma and this is what you find. You have to admit they are helpful and hygienic! They sure keep me on my toes, and I love to "watch" them interact with each other They are totally different when Big sister/cousin Claire is not around. One of Mikey's first words was Gracie. He adores her, but she can have him in tears in 2 seconds flat. Michael actually calls Costco "Gracie", cause we see them there alot. I love my little babies...they are growing so fast!

Food and Fun

I was able to go to 2 cooking classes at the "Oregonian Culinary Institute" with Calvin and Katie. It was a blast! I learned to make Tamales, and sauces. I also learned to make fresh Pasta and Mozzarella cheese. The best part I think was just being able to spend time with my kids. Cal and Katie will be leaving to go on their internships in the next month or so. I am happy for them both, but I am already missing them. This will be the first time having Katie leave home, so that is really a scarey and sad feeling for me. I guess I need to let the little birdie fly the nest though.
I wish I had taken the camera and had pictures to share. I didn't think of it till later. I really enjoy learning new things about cooking, so this was fun. I have actually made Tamales and Gnocchi at home. I am going to make Rojo and verdes sauce this week end. I will have good memories everytime I make these things. I know they'll be back, but it's never the same is it!

Too busy too think!

Ever felt that way...Well I just think I live from minute to minute these days. I don't have alot of time just to breath and do "my Little" fun things. I need to have some down time, some ALONE time! As much as I love being with my family, I crave Quiet time too! I need to start trying to get that more, and then doing productive things with it. I haven't scrapbooked in a year! I feel like I just do what I have too to live. My house is a disaster. I am trying to work a plan so I do more stuff and still have good times with my family and get my house taken care of. Hopefully I am successful! Anyway, No funny post for today. Sorry, I think I am nursing the winter blues ;0)

PS
Just wanted to say, I do lots of FUN things with my family and I love it. I just don't do the little fun things like crafts and such like I used too!

Julie...This is for you!

In this life, I’m a woman. In my next life, I’d like to come back as a bear. When you’re a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you’re supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too.

When you’re a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you’re sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs. I could definitely deal with that.

If you’re mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If you’re a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.

(I don't know who to credit for this. I got it in an e-mail years ago)
